Those are only some of the unanimously laudatory critiques the Israeli Bach Soloists have received during the 2009-2010 concert season, in which we have presented, for the first time in Israel, a Bach cantata cycle performed with single singers and on historical instruments. We invite you to join us in our next season, filled with even more exciting music making.
In the 2010-2011 season we will hold our liturgical series "Voice of the Soul" at the Enav Center in Tel Aviv, and present five different programs comprising some of Bach's best liturgical works. The highlight of the series: Bach's Johannes Passion with Sigiswald Kuijken, one of the greatest conductors and violinists in the field of early music. Also in the series are Lutheran masses and orchestral suites by Bach, enticing German baroque masterpieces by Dietrich Buxtehude and Adam Krieger, a world premiere of Yehezkel Braun's new work "David's Lament", and some of Bach's favorite cantatas.
In the 2010-2011 we will launch our new chamber music series "Different Music" at Hateiva hall in Jaffa, in which we shall focus on less-known instrumental and vocal music: the suites for two viole da gamba by Marin Marais, madrigals by Gesualdo, music from the Codex Faenza and more.

ietrich Buxtehude's reputation as an organist and composer was so great, that young Bach walked 400 kilometers by foot to Lübeck in order to meet him. In this program we present a portrait of the northern composer and his connection to Bach, along with a selection of his finest vocal and instrumental pieces.
